Acetic Acid Water 0.6% (AA Water) is a sterile aqueous solution containing 0.6% acetic acid as an acidifying agent. By lowering the pH of the solvent, it supports the solubility and stability of certain lyophilized research compounds that require an acidic environment for effective reconstitution and controlled dilution within laboratory settings.

Research background

AA Water is referenced in laboratory practice as a reconstitution solvent for lyophilized research peptides and biochemical compounds whose physicochemical properties are better maintained under mildly acidic conditions. It has been used in controlled dilution workflows where pH adjustment is a prerequisite for compound integrity during preparation. Each batch is tested for identity and pH to ensure consistency across reconstitution procedures.

Handling & use

AA Water is intended for use as a reconstitution or dilution vehicle in laboratory environments. To reconstitute a lyophilized compound, add an appropriate volume of AA Water directly to the vial, then gently swirl — do not shake — until the powder is fully dissolved. Where a subsequent working solution is required, further dilution with a suitable buffer or carrier may be performed according to the applicable laboratory protocol.

Use aseptic technique throughout the reconstitution process.
Available in 3 ml and 10 ml presentations to suit different preparation volumes.
Suitable where bacteriostatic water is not appropriate and an acidic solvent is indicated.

Storage & stability

Store unopened vials at room temperature, protected from direct light. Once opened, handle under appropriate aseptic conditions and use promptly. Do not freeze the solution.
